About Make Wrestling Mine

Make Wrestling MINE is a mentorship initiative meant to help build networks and opportunities for women in wrestling.

M
Mentor - Be a leader to our next generation of wrestlers. Teach them to be courageous on and off of the mat. Take time to speak to them about your ups and downs in wrestling, but always stay positive.
I
Invest - Ambassador athletes invest their time in mentoring the future athletes. Athletes invest in meaningful practices, valuable behaviors, and developing a strong mental image of themselves. Parents invest in the big picture.
N
Network - Parents, athletes and coaches can share resources and other forms of information like where to get equipment, the best tournaments, camps, clinics, and even local social media sites.
E
Encourage - Encourage her to keep going and keep pushing through. You never know how much of an impact a few words of kindness can have on someone’s day, week, season, career, or life in general.

Our Story

Make Wrestling Mine is a mentorship initiative meant to help build networks and opportunities for women in wrestling. Mine is an acronym for Mentor, Invest, Network and Encourage.  By building on these pillars, we can create postive networks that can inform parents, athletes and coaches to the opportunities available to women in wrestling.

Through the use of our women in collegiate and high school programs in Ambassador roles, we will provide outreach to women's wrestling programs at the high school, middle school, and recreational team levels, and educate them to encourage self advocacy, mentorship, and networking in a positive manner.
